  3. OBJECTIVE AND SCOPE OF THE SESSION

    This session aims to convene leading experts, researchers, and practitioners to explore and discuss the latest advancements in materials science, sustainable and efficient practices based on AI-driven approaches to the field of building and bridge design. The primary objective is to foster interdisciplinary collaboration, share innovative research findings, and develop strategies for implementing new materials and innovative design methodologies to improve safety, durability, and sustainability in the construction field. This session will cover a broad range of topics, including but not limited to: the development and characterization of ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC), fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) composites, engineered cementitious composites (ECC), smart materials for building and bridge applications; innovative bridge systems and building retrofitting techniques; advanced computational methods, as well as Machine learning (ML) and AI integration in health Monitoring and structural design of infrastructure.
